Old Vines, Red, Cotes du Rhone Village

Gold Medal at Vinalies 2011

“Above all, this wine expresses a fabulous terroir. It comes from old vines growing on a sea of pebbles. The "Vielles Vignes Rouge" gives back in the bottle all the care and passion we have put into it.”
M&R Janer

Blend: grenache 60%, syrah 40%

Wine Making : pre-fermentation cold maceration. The wine can macerate up to 30-40 days during which temperatures are controlled. During the early stages of the fermentation process, all of the must is poured over the floating grape skins everyday. The length of maceration is determined by regular tastings. 30% of the wine ages in new oak barriques for 9 to 12 months.
